Community Connection Guidelines

Helping useful items find a second purpose while respecting customers, recipients, and our community.

Our Goal

Community Connection exists to help suitable reusable items continue serving others instead of being unnecessarily discarded.

How It Works

Suitable items may become available during paid Alberta Strong cleanout projects.

With the owner’s permission, we may attempt to connect those items with people who have submitted requests.

What Can Be Requested

Examples include:

  • Furniture
  • Household items
  • Kitchenware
  • Tools
  • Garden equipment
  • Building materials
  • Baby items
  • Office furniture
  • Hobby supplies

What Cannot Be Requested

Examples include:

  • Hazardous materials
  • Food
  • Prescription medications
  • Unsafe or damaged items
  • Anything prohibited by law

Important Information

  • Requests are free.
  • Requests do not guarantee availability.
  • Items cannot be collected from Alberta Strong’s private residence.
  • Public transfer locations or delivery arrangements will be discussed if a suitable match becomes available.
  • Delivery fees may apply.
  • Requests remain active for the period selected on the request form.
  • We reserve the right to decline requests that cannot be safely or reasonably accommodated.

Respecting Owners

Items are only considered for Community Connection with the owner’s or authorized decision-maker’s permission.

Success Stories

As the program grows, we look forward to sharing real stories of neighbours helping neighbours—with permission from everyone involved.
